Explantion

Accepted After applying to a program, if the program administrator decides that they want you as an affiliate, they will change your status for that program to accepted. If you added the links while under consideration, you keep any commissions you generated.

Affiliate Website that adds banners / buttons / text links that link through to merchant sites, in order to earn commission based on leads / sales generated.

Affiliate program Affiliate programs allow merchants to increase sales, drive traffic, generate qualified leads and extend brand reach.
Banner Image placed on websites featuring advertising for a merchant - typical size is 468x60.

Button Same as a banner, but the image is typically much smaller, for instance 120x60.

Click A single click by a user on a banner. Not currently implemented.

Click Amount Not currently implemented.

Click through rate (CTR) The rate at which impressions are producing unique visitors, for instance a CTR of 1% would mean every 100 impressions produce 1 UV.

Com(mission) Money paid to affiliates based on the referred traffic, leads or sales generated via their links - for instance a percentage of sales value generated, or a fixed amount for registrations or similar.

Content Generator Section on the Tradedoubler site that allows affiliates to take quality content and add it on to their sites. The section prepares the tracking code and also allows affiliates to customise the content. The content is dynamically updated - the affiliate takes the code once and thereafter the products are changed by the program administrator to show the latest offers.

Cookie Small text file used to enhance the user experience of websites by storing settings entered on site, for instance a country selection on an entry page. Used on most programs for tracking sales.

Cookie duration The time after the original click though that the sale will be tracked. For instance, if a program has a cookie duration of 30 days, then a sale made up to 30 days after the original click through will be tracked.

Conversion rate (CR) The rate at which unique visitors are converted into sales, for instance a CR of 5% would mean every 100 UVs generate 5 sales.

Cross border affiliate An affiliate that is enabled for more than one Tradedoubler country, and so can sign up to programs from that country too.

Custom Event Report Runs a report grouped by each event/tariff.

Custom graphical element In the Graphical Element report you may see some transactions coming from a 'custom graphical element'. Transactions have come via a link that does not contain a GE ID, for instance text links that use '.....g=0' at the end.

Curr(ency) Displays the currency.

Denied After applying to a program, if the program administrator rejects your application, they will change your status for that program to denied. You will lose any commissions you may have generated while under consideration.

Ended After you have been accepted to a program, if the program administrator then decides they no longer want you as an affiliate, they can end the relationship. The links will not work but you will be paid all commissions you generated when Accepted.

Graphical element A banner or button, search tool or other linking method, served by Tradedoubler and hosted by the merchant.

Graphical Element Report Runs a report on the statistics of individual graphical elements.

Individual Site Report Runs a report of day-by-day analysis of individual affiliates.

Imp Amount Not currently implemented.

Imp(ression) Every time a banner is loaded on a website - so in affect, every time it is viewable for a visitor.

Imp(ression) leads Not currently implemented.

Imp(ression) sales Not currently implemented.

Lead An event on the merchant site such as a registration or a sign up. The commission will be a fixed amount per lead.

Lead rate (LR) The number of leads per 100 UVs, for instance a LR of 15% would mean every 100 UVs generate 15 leads.

Leads amount Not currently implemented.

Merchant The company that is running an affiliate program.

N / A - Not applicable If you use text links then you will see this in the reports under CTR, because text links don't record impressions.

On hold After you apply to a program the program administrator will try and look at your site to decide if they want you as an affiliate. If your site is not viewable you may be put on hold rather than denied straight away. When on hold you can't earn commissions.

Program administrator The affiliate manager who is in charge of the program - usually this person works for the merchant. The program administrator will approve / deny your application to their program.

Program ID A unique number that identifies each program and is used in the tracking links. The program ID is displayed on the program page, after applying for the program.

Sale A completed sale on the merchant's site. The sale has to be genuine and verified as not being fraudulent for commission to be paid to the affiliate. All sales are reported in real time and shown in the statistics immediately but can subsequently be deleted if, for instance, a fraudulent credit card is used.

Sales Amount The total amount of all sales in the currency specified.

Sales Value The total amount of all sales in the currency specified.

Segment Segments are what decide the commission structure. Every program has a default commission structure in the "General" segment. However, some programs have higher commission segments that you can get upgraded for if performance is good, or if you reach certain targets.

Site ID A unique number that identifies your site and is used in the tracking links. If you register more than one site under your account you will have a different site ID per site registered. You can see your site ID under Edit site info.

Site Name The full name of the affiliate site as a clickable link.

Tariff The commissions on offer for a program.

Text link A link that doesn't use an image, but instead is textual.

Under consideration When you apply to programs you are under consideration for that program until the program administrator deals with your application. The program administrator can then decide to accept you on to their program, set your application to denied, or on hold.

Unique Imp Amount Not currently implemented.

Unique Imp(ression) An impression from a unique user.Not currently implemented.

Unique visitor (UV) One click, per program, per visitor, per day.

UV Amount Not currently implemented.
