Additional Rules for the Microsoft Affiliate Program

In addition to the general terms and conditions of the affiliate network the following requirements apply for the Microsoft Affiliate Program:

• No placement of any Microsoft trademarks in search engines, including "Microsoft", "Microsoft Store", “Windows” or “Windows Store”, or variations or misspellings). These keywords should not appear in the ad title, ad text, or in the ad URL. No direct link to the Microsoft Store website from search engines.
• No use of any Microsoft trademarks in domains and subdomains, including "Microsoft", "Microsoft Store", “Windows” or “Windows Store” (or variations or misspellings).
• No Cookie-Dropping/Cookie-Spamming. Cookies may be set only on the effective user click on one of the advertising media from Microsoft. It is not allowed to set cookies on clicks on the close button or on mouseover. The setting of a cookie on an invisible advertising material or by the invisible loading of the Microsoft site is prohibited. This means it is not permissible to use popups, popunders, frames, iFrames or layers which set a cookie without participation of the user.
• Advertising or other similar networks participating in the Microsoft Affiliate Program may only use tracking tags on unsold inventory. Placing affiliate tags on pre-sold inventory is prohibited.
• Affiliates are prohibited from promoting through "adware" and "forced clicks".
• Sites with illegal, violent or pornographic content are excluded from participation in the Microsoft Affiliate Program. Examples of illegal advertising environments in this context are file-sharing portals and warez-sites. Microsoft may require any advertising through the Microsoft Affiliate Program to be discontinued by an affiliate at any time.
• No self-created ads may be used, unless this has been explicitly permitted by Microsoft.
• • Any materials or data provided by Microsoft for your use in creating links may be included only on the approved affiliate site URL(s). Use of any such materials on other non-approved websites, or for any other purpose, is prohibited.

Microsoft may modify the requirements for its Affiliate Program at any time, including through its managing affiliate program partner, Arvato.

Any violation of program requirements may result in termination from the Microsoft program and the cancellation of all outstanding commissions.

Other important info:

• Properly tagged deep links are critical for accurate tracking and reporting. We encourage affiliates to use the tagging tools available at the Microsoft Affiliate Program website to build any deep links. Microsoft, arvato, and Tradedoubler are not responsible for inaccurate or broken links. Referrals made using incorrect or broken links will not be paid a commission.
• Only applications that have been approved by Microsoft, for the Microsoft application ecosystem, are eligible to participate in the Microsoft Affiliate Program.
• Digital products must be purchased through the Windows 10 or Microsoft online store to be eligible for commissions.

Rules for registering untracked sales (UTS) claims within the publisher interface:

• Untracked sales can only be claimed up to 3 months after the sale has been made. Requests received after this period will not be handled. Commission may only be paid on the net value exluding VAT, all other taxes, surcharges and any additional costs such as delivery.
• Any claims that do not meet these requirements WILL be declined.
• Claim(s) can only be claimed up to 3 months after the sale has been made.
• Claim(s) should be submitted in the publisher interface: http://publisher.tradedoubler.com/publisher/aManageClaims.action
• Claim(s) should only be submitted after the checkout (consumed) date
• Claims will be approved only if there will be correct Event ID, Correct Time stamp of the purchase as because then the commission will be calculated automatically
• Only letters and numbers are permitted in the Order reference field. Please do not enter any product information etc. in this field. Any claims containing other characters or words will be declined.
• The field EXP Commission should not be full filled
• Claim will be approved only if NET OV will be added and if the recipe will be provided to Tradedoubler
• Please make the following changes to the transaction data: Use the date when the purchase was made (time of transaction) inputting the Transaction date
